Project Overview
Created a logo for Meech BOLD's tagline, fortune favors the BOLD. After spending a couple years working with Meech on previous visual projects to accompany releases, we stayed in touch while he continued to develop his sound and identity as an artist (and Iﾠcontinued to develop my identity as a designer). After noticing him use the phrase on social media, Iﾠapproached Meech with an idea for branding associated with it. We worked on developing it and it blossomed into his artist mantra, accompanying music video visuals, song and album promotional work, and even merch and apparel.
It was important to me that the typographical work appear gritty and tangible (I had been experimenting with displacement maps and textured typography at the time), to correspond with the earthiness and tangible nature of Meech's identity as an independent artist--hungry and committed to his goals.
